Battery RecyclingAs a member of the JBRC, which recycles compact rechargeable power cells in Japan, Makita voluntarily collects and recycles compact rechargeable batteries.

Banned and controlled chemical substances

In order to conform to international environmental standards such as the RoHS directive issued by the European Union, Makita has designated banned and controlled chemical substances, and the entire Makita group is working to cease using these products and components. |
Energy conservation initiative
In order to systematically reduce electrical consumption, Makita has drawn up and is pursuing a long-term plan that will run until fiscal 2010. This plan is reviewed annually
