Application Privacy Policy

Makita Corporation (gMakitah, gweh, gush or gourh) has established this Application Privacy Policy (this gPrivacy Policyh) to explain how we use any user information we collect from you through Makita Mobile Tools, an application provided by us which runs on a smart device (the gApph) and the services that relate to the App (the gServicesh).

  1. User information we collect from you and how we use it
    (1) When we provide the App and the Services, we collect and use your user information listed below to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes listed in the Sub-Paragraphs of Paragraph 2 below:

    [3] especially in the interest of public health or to promote the healthy development of young people and if it is difficult to obtain your consent; or
    [4] to cooperate with any government agency or local authority or any person entrusted by such agency or authority when they perform their statutory duties and if your consent is, if obtained, likely to adversely affect the performance of such statutory duties.

  6. Request to disclose your user information
    (1) You may request us to disclose your user information we hold.  To request disclosure, please contact us at the address stated in Article 9 below.  Please note that a fee (seven hundred fifty (750) yen per request) is payable to cover our administrative costs for dealing with your request for user information disclosure.
    (2) If we receive a request for disclosure from you in accordance with the preceding Paragraph, we will first confirm your identity and provide you with the user information you request without delay.  (We will notify you if we do not hold any user information about you.)  However, we will not disclose to you the user information we hold about you unless we are obliged to do so by the User information Protection Act or any other applicable laws and regulations.

  7. Request to correct your user information
    (1)   You may request us to correct your user information we hold about you if it is not correct or accurate.  To request correction, please contact us at the address stated in Article 9 below.
    (2)    If we receive a request for correction from you in accordance with the preceding Paragraph, we will first confirm your identity, conduct necessary investigations, and correct your user information based on the outcome of our investigation without delay. (We will notify you if we choose not to correct your user information.)

  8. Request to cease to use your user information
    (1)   You may request us to cease to use your user information held by us if it is used beyond the extent of intended use without your consent or it is otherwise collected fraudulently.  To request cessation of use, please contact us at the address stated in Article 9 below.
    (2)   If we receive a request for cessation of use from you in accordance with the preceding Paragraph, we will first confirm your identity and cease to use your user information.  (We will notify you if we choose not to cease to use your user information.)
    (3)   The two preceding Articles do not apply if we are not required by the Personal information Protection Act or any other applicable laws and regulations to correct or cease to use your user information.
