Makita Brazil reaches 10 million-unit cumulative production milestone
Makita do Brasil Ferramentas Elétricas Ltda. (Makita Brazil) crossed the 10-million-mark of its cumulative production on July 29, 2014. In commemoration of this achievement, a HR2470 combination hammer unit was showcased at the entrance of the company building as the 10 millionth model.
Makita established its first Brazilian plant near Sao Paulo in October 1981, transferring it to Ponta Grossa in November 2008 to expand its production facilities. Thanks to efforts to enhance production and sales capabilities taken to quickly respond to the growing needs in Latin America, Makita successfully reached its 10 million-unit production milestone in 33 years.
Leveraging its global manufacturing system, Makita is committed to continuing production while remaining in step with the changes in the demand environment.
