Makita Malaysia is Open for Business

Makita Power Tools (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., a local sales subsidiary that became the 48th company in the Makita Group, commenced operations in Subang Jaya, near Kuala Lumpur, in the state of Selangor, Malaysia on May 1, 2013.

Malaysia is a region where natural gas is produced in great abundance, and palm oil and rubber are cultivated on a massive scale. There is significant latent demand in the Malaysian market, and future growth is expected.

To date, Makita Singapore Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of the Makita Corporation, has been in charge of Makita’s sales activities in the Malaysian market via local agents. By establishing a subsidiary in Malaysia, Makita aims to further expand sales by speeding up products and parts supply and enhancing after-sales services.
