Cumulative production reaches 30 million units at our UK plant

On June 30, 2020, cumulative production reached 30 million units at Makita’s UK plant. With the attendance of local employees, we held a ceremony commemorating the 30-million-mark of our cumulative production. In the hope for further business development, we have exhibited the 30 millionth product (DJV181), a cordless jig saw, at the entrance of Makita’s UK plant.

Our plant in the UK began production of a cordless drill, in July 1991. After 29 years of production, we saw cumulative production reach 30 million units. To continue contributing to the growth of the Company’s market share in the future, we will make a concerted effort to improve QCD even further.
