Approaches to Local Communities
In pursuit of developing Makita in tandem with local communities, we are engaged in various programs tailored to each region, including support of sports and cultural activities and disaster-relief activities.
Japan
In Japan, we actively collaborate with local schools near the head office by providing motivational talks about career and career experience opportunities with the aim of helping children grow and develop optimally.
In addition, we work together with local communities which allows us to support some events for vibrant community life and improve safety and productivity of forestry and agriculture.
Volunteer Cleanup Activities
Head Office recruits employees to participate in cleanup activities in the area in May and October each year as part of Anjo City’s beautification campaign. Also, at Okazaki Plant, we clean the promenade on the east side of the plant premises. We will continue to participate in local activities and actively engage in environmental protection activities.
India
To foster greater interest in manufacturing, we offered educational program to students at the Indian Institute of Technology in the capital city of Delhi. They learned about practical applications and product technologies while experiencing Makita products firsthand.
Poland
In Poland, we sponsored motorsports competitions, contributing to the promotion of sports in the region.
Spain
In Spain, we joined the event of fire departments from the whole country aiming to support disaster rescue.
